Alice in Wonderland wedding cake

We enjoy making themed wedding cakes, it allows us to be really creative and extends our skills. Some of the themed wedding cakes we have made have been very challenging. This Alice in Wonderland themed cake was especially complicated.

For this cake we supplied the Alice themed cards, teapot and teacup and, after much deliberation, worked out how to get them to stay in place on the cake.

The checkerboard bottom tier was a red velvet sponge to create maximum "Alice" effect when the lovely couple cut into it. And the handmade sugar roses with faces were a real triumph.
