Weddings are smaller at the moment. Covid 19 has reduced the number of guests couples can invite to their weddings. some couples are postponing their wedding until next year and other couples are going ahead with their wedding but with reduced numbers and are planning to then have a larger celebration when the restrictions are lifted.

Smaller wedding parties require smaller cakes, you can see some of our design on our website, please look in the wedding cake galleries for wedding cake ideas.

The cake in the picture below is a 2 tier, 10 inch and 8 inch victoria sponge cake with strawberry conserve and creamy vanilla buttercream filling. the cake is decorated with a ribbed buttercream finish, some beautiful fresh flowers and a Mr & Mrs topper. The cake is displayed on a crystal stand to add extra height and looked fabulous. Perfect for a smaller wedding.

It must be really hard for couples who have been plaqnning their wedding day for months, sometimes years, who have eveything in place and then to have to start to reduce it all to meet the guidelines.

How does one decide which guests to keep aand which guests to omit, that has to be a really difficult decision?
